Breezeline: can you use your own modem?
Yes — Breezeline allows customer-owned modems and publishes its own approved-device list. It names devices including Netgear CM3000 and Netgear CM1000v2. Your device must meet at least DOCSIS 3.1. Can I use my own modem with Breezeline?
Yes, with a restriction: the device has to appear on Breezeline's published approved list. In their words: cable yes, fiber no. What DOCSIS version does Breezeline require?
The approved-device table's "DOCSIS version" column lists exactly two values: "3.1 High-Split" (Netgear CM3000 only) and "3.1 Mid-Split" (all other listed modems and gateways). PDF section heading: "Customer Owned Equipment (Approved Devices) - DOCSIS 3.1".
Do Breezeline's requirements change with my speed tier?
The table states max speeds per DOCSIS tier: "3.1 High-Split" (Netgear CM3000) = "2.5 Gbps" download / "500 Mbps" upload; "3.1 Mid-Split" (all other modems, and all listed gateways) = "1 Gbps" download / "200 Mbps" upload. Also: "Depending on the equipment type and model, you may not receive the maximum download and upload speeds or WiFi performance that’s available with your rate plan."
What does Breezeline not allow?
